La Casa Sage

So...everything is just coming more and more together and I am LOVING living in a house : ) We've been unpacking still and hanging pictures and the house is becoming so much more liveable. Not only that, but we've been cleaning the apartment getting ready to turn over the keys!! Here are a few updated, uncluttered pics of the house.
Our Bedroom: I am needing a few more wall decorations for it!

We are also looking for a closet solution (these doors are not staying on their tracks)

Our beautiful bathroom : )

And a clean kitchen

I still need to finish putting a few things up, paint the mantel brown, organize the garage, paint the upstairs and eventually clean up the yard!!
Oh and I'm SUPER excited that my brother, sis-in-law and niece will be here Friday night!!! YAY!

Days 4 & 5

Yesterday we were kind of ADD painters, completing very few things, but we did get a start on the trim and rolled a little green on the walls. Oh and our painters started painting our ceiling white! It was finished today!
We also got a new kitchen cart yesterday that actually can fit the wheels and got to put it in the kitchen!
We finished trimming out and rolling the Garden Sage (love it!) in the living room and on the one wall of the dining room that it goes on. We are still however debating whether we want to paint both of the top trims white in the living room or leave one green and one white (the first pic is of only the top one white and the second pic is of doing both trims white)..

We are also still debating the color for the two walls in the dining room that are not green. I just thought I found the right color today, but once we painted it, the dining room looked like a boys room or cammo..not really what we were going for. Now we're thinking the other walls either need to be white or a really really light tan..we'll see what works.

Tomorrow we are painting all the trim in the living room and the wall above the fireplace. We want to have one room complete. That will leave us the two extra dining room walls to figure out/paint and the two half walls around the kitchen and the game room! Woohoo! We're getting closer!!
Poor Chlo is having issues with not getting our full attention right now. She tried to climb a ladder that I was painting on today, came and sat in our laps every time that we sat down and got in front of the camera when I was trying to take a pic.

I only have one more day of school this week (I'm taking Friday off) and our family starts coming in tomorrow!!!! Yay!! Cody's project ends on Friday so he'll be SUPER busy until then!!
Hooray for house fun!

Day 3

So not much progress made today..Cody had to work late and the fireplace took way longer than I thought it would. So today's change is the front of the fireplace. Sometime this week I'm going to stain the mantel, so add that image to this picture.

Chloe LOVES her backyard and chased squirrels and birds all afternoon. She also decided that she really liked sitting on the fireplace, but luckily I was able to keep her off while I was painting the bottom part. She for sure ended up with some paint in her fur, but I'm just thankful that there aren't any tiny white paw prints on our wood floor!

Day 1 and Day 2

Here is what we've accomplished in the past two days ( many more improvements to come!)
The spiral staircase steps have been repainted black

3/4 of the fireplace has been painted white from a grey color

Look at the Sage sign

And our new fridge : )

And the biggest change yet...look at the bathroom before...

And after: Cody's hard work on the bathtub and the new vanity!
And let me just tell you that Cody has worked for the past 7 days straight at work with very long hours, and has come home the past two nights and worked until LATE!! He's an amazing guy!!

T-minus one week!!!!

We are just one week away from having actual possession of our home!! AH!! SO exciting!
But in the meantime...
This past Thursday I went on a girl date with my bf Hannah! I haven't gotten to hang out with just her in so long! We went to Sugarbaby's to get yummy cupcakes, Hungry's for dinner and then on to Brown Eyes Blue to get our make up done by The Perfect Face! What a perfect girlie night!

Then on Friday night Cody and I went to dinner with the Sagemans and some of their friends! Emily and I matched : )
On Saturday, poor Cody had to work all day, so I went to see "He's just not that into you" with Lindsay! It was a very fun movie!! That night Cody and I went down to the University of Houston to watch Garrett the 3k. His race was exciting as he was leading most of the time and the end of the race was a dead sprint between him and another guy, but Garrett won!
Today I turned off my church alarm and we didn't get up! Yikes! We missed Sunday School and tried to make it for church, but all of the parking lots were full! We literally spent 30 minutes looking for a parking spot before giving up and deciding to just go back for night church. On our way home, we stopped by Best Buy and bought a fridge : ) We went by the house today to get more measurements and make more plans!! Then Chlo and I went to the puppy park before church (she played with a Great Dane!!).
On another note, my parents went to see my brother, sis-in-law and niece this weekend. When they all went down to Mamaw and Papaw's, Erin kept pulling mine and Cody's wedding picture off of the coffee table! She misses us : )
