Bible Study

I've been doing a Beth Moore bible study for the past couple of weeks called LIT. Everything about it is such a blessing.
1. I am carpooling with a group of amazing friends and get to spend quality time with them to and from church on Tuesday nights.
2. Beth Moore and her daughter both have such amazing biblical knowledge to share with us! Tonight Beth hit on 17 points of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The amount of information that she shared in 1 1/2 hours was crazy!! She connected parts of the Bible that I have never even thought about being connected.
3. Beth and Melissa are really challenging us. So far we have memorized the books of the Bible from Genesis to 2 Chronicles and we have more to memorize each week until we know all 66 books in order! We also have homework each week that takes time, thought and prayer to complete.
Praise God for opportunities to learn more about His Word!

Aggie Game

Grey's Anatomy finally came back on Thursday! We went down to Lindsay's house with some other friends to watch the premiere. We had fun, although the show itself was kind of weird. I mean really, who gets stabbed with an icicle?

Friday night we went on a double date with the Sagemans, and we really enjoyed them!!
On Saturday we got up early to go to College Station to watch the Aggies beat Army. Lindsay came with us and got to experience her first Aggie game ever! We saw Maeagan & Cody before the game (they live in Dallas now) and Sarah & Nick after the game (they live in San Antonio now).

Today we're back to normal adult duties, like laundry, vacuuming and such! : ) I hope y'all enjoy this week! Its almost October!!

Hurricane Ike

Well this is our entry into the blogging world!
This past weekend we experienced our first Hurricane as Houstonians. It was CRAZY! Cody remained calm the whole time and I of course freaked out. We stayed safe the whole time and none of our stuff was damaged (thank goodness)! Trees were down around us and quite a few of the other buildings in our apartment complex lost parts of their roofs.
We ventured out on Saturday to see what the areas around us looked like and took a few pictures!

We also saw stop lights hanging down, fences down everywhere and flooded roads. Most of our friends have their power back already, but a few are still waiting. Most places stayed closed through Tuesday, but things started to look a little more normal today.
Cody went out to check his jobsite Monday and back to work on Tuesday. Cy-fair however, cancelled school for the entire week, so I've been a bum aside from a Puppy Playdate and going to see The Women today with some friends. It was a cute movie!

Please keep the people affected by Hurricane Ike in your prayers and donate to the Red Cross if you can! They are doing SO much down here! http://www.redcross.org/
