My blog has not been updated very much (at all) this summer because I have been teaching summer school, summer camp, drinking lots of coffee (hello goldcard!)
and the big time consumer....STUDYING.
I have finished 9 hours (as of today) am just 10 months away from graduation. WHOOP!
Today I finally got to do one of my favorite summer activities, reading outside!
And not to worry, I have of course found a little time for crafting and cooking this summer, so if I can just remember my projects/recipes, I will be sharing them soon.

Lasterday
*The title from this post comes from 1-my niece's way of saying "yesterday" 2- the moment my heart melted on our trip, "Sarah, will you sleep with me again tonight just like you did lasterday?" Of course!
This past weekend was a family girls' weekend that really began on Wednesday. My mom and mother-in-law came to see me in Houston! They were here Thursday for the deluge of rain we received...14 inches in some parts of Houston!
We shopped in the Woodlands, at at the Black Walnut Cafe and did a little grocery shopping at Hubbell and Hudson. LOVE spending time with these ladies!
On Friday, mom and I headed to Gruene, TX to meet my Mamaw, aunts, cousins, sis-in-law and niece for a girls' weekend!
We stayed at the Gruene Mansion inn, blew bubbles on the porch,
ate at the Gristmill,
had jello pedis on the porch,
danced a little,
ran each morning with stops at different local coffee shops
shopped around town, had lunch at the River House Tea Room,
talked, laughed, at dinner at the New York Pizza Pub,
studied on the porch with the river in front of me and Texas Country music playing next door
watched my cousin, Ab's all-star team win their softball game
What a great weekend! I love the time we get to spend together uninterrupted each year!

Girls Weekend: Houston
This year our annual girls weekend ended up in Houston due to schedules.
Our weekend began with Liz's baby shower. Her sweet baby Jack will be here so soon!!
Afterwards, we headed up to the outlets for some shopping. The Banana Republic Outlet and JCrew outlet were the places we found the best deals..
That night we made pizza.
We started off our next day at Tiny Boxwood's for brunch.
Followed by shopping in City Centre, lounging at the Hotel Sorella pool and going to see Brave (very cute movie!). Hotel Sorella was wonderful! Its fairly new, very cutely decorated, had a great pool, reasonably priced and had hands down the most accommodating staff I've ever seen at a hotel.

(my mom monogrammed pieces of burlap for me and then I hot glued them onto existing koozies)
(I saw on pinterest where you can take placemats and spray them with chalkboard paint so that your guests can write on them)
