A few weeks ago we awoke to find our mailbox on the ground. We're still not sure how that happened, but regardless we had to replace it with a new one.
Note also the fact that my hibiscus are still living! Woohoo! Thanks to Roxanne at the Family Plaque for our new address letters!!
Another thing that we were working on was greatly inspired by Jen McCrady's house blog. Her fireplace looked so well put together and all that ours had on it was a picture from our wedding, so I decorated.
And don't think thats all that we've done : ) One of our sweet neighbors had an armoire that they no longer needed so they passed it along to us.
I sanded it (love the mouse sander), painted it black, replaced the knobs with glass ones and used a stencil to paint a design on it. Whew! It was a lot of work, but I am very satisfied with how it turned out!
And the last project for the time being was a headboard for the guest room.
If you're thinking, man I feel like I've seen that headboard before, you probably have in this picture.
This headboard used to be the doors in on our bedroom closet. Unfortunately they NEVER stayed on their tracks and ended up off of the closet within the first week that we lived here. Since they weren't being used, I took them apart, took off the hardware, painted them, Cody so kindly cut them down, and put them together. (our closet is still needing doors, just haven't figured out exactly what I want).
Now onto new tasks!

That inspires me...I need to do more to our house! Thanks for the inspiration! Everything looks great!
Hi, you don't know me, but somehow I stumbled across your blog googling for headboard ideas. I was wondering where you got the picture above your headboard "Don't worry about anything..." My father passed away a couple months ago, and this Bible verse was my mom's and his favorite bible verse. I've been looking for a picture everything that reflects this verse.
Thanks, and God Bless--Erica erw1981@gmail.com
