I'm sure by now you've heard about the down pour in Houston over the past two days. We have thank goodness only experienced the stormy part and have not seen the flooding that a lot of the city has seen.
Because the roads were so bad today, Cy-Fair canceled school, on a TAKs day!! Crazy!!
The storms have calmed quite a bit which means a day off that I can enjoy!! I've gotten to run errands, get mother's day gifts together (get excited moms!), eat Chick-fil-a for lunch, watch Full House as well as making a whole lot of cookies (let me know if you want some...i probably have 5 dozen cookies...)!
And I've gotten to spend the day hanging out at home with my two favorite puppies!! Look how happy Ellie is! Her tail wags the entire time that she eats : )

I hope you dance...
This weekend I got to relive my dance years!! Friday night, I went with Meagan to Jersey Village's Spring Show!! It was so fun to watch the girls dance and hear her reminisce about drill team!!
On Saturday morning I continued the dance fun by going with Natalie down to Sugarland to watch two of our sweet girls from last year dance in a dance competition! Too cute!!
The rest of the day, Cody and I (mainly Cody) worked to clear out another flower bed in the backyard! We're getting closer to planting! We just need to figure out exactly what size we want the flower beds to be now!!
Last night, Cody and I met the Sagemans, Hannah and Alex at Russo's for pizza!! Russo's is by far our fave pizza place in Houston!! We really enjoyed getting to spend that time with the other two couples!
When we got home and let the girls (Chlo and Ellie) out, they found a frog and were completely enthralled with it!!
And then today was church and errands!! Back to the grind in the morning...this week includes TAKS too, which means 3 silent days for my five year olds!!

Puppy Mom
This week I have taken two puppies to two different vet offices.
On Tuesday, Chloe went for her yearly check up. Chlo is a healthy 8.1 pound 3 year old puppy! She HATES the vet though.
On Wednesday, Ellie went to the vet for her monthly check up. She weighs 16 pounds and is a healthy 10-week old puppy (she's going to be big). Ellie LOVES the vet..well Ellie loves life in general and the vet just has more people to pay attention to her, so she's happy.
Aside from puppy love this week, HB and Alex came up for dinner last and I actually cooked! Like, not even just warming stuff up , but cooking a whole meal from scratch. We had a wonderful time.
Tonight Nanny Sage and Robin came up since they were in Houston. They got to see the house and then we all went to Lupe Tortilla! Yum!

Puppy Love
This week has been super busy!!! We have the obvious reason, little Ellie and her training. We're crate training her. She's been doing so great considering that we just got her on Tuesday night!!
Our little fam
The puppies eat at the same time...
Chloe used to be a very neat eater, but now she makes a huge mess when she eats and looks at Ellie like, I dare you to even try to eat my food!!
Ellie practicing to be a duck hunter

We also got to go to a wonderful dinner on Thursday night with Harvey (Cody's company) to celebrate Cody's last job being finished and Pappa's Steakhouse! Yum! Then on Friday night I got to stay up at the school until 9:30 with my team and 32 5-6 year olds!! We had a pajama party and it was so fun! We had a runway show, painted hair and faces, played games, had a scavenger hunt around the school, danced on the tables and ate ice cream sundays!!
Yesterday was kind of a lazy day and the rain made it a perfect day to stay in. We did get out to go see "I love you, man" with HB and Alex! Today they're riding the 2nd leg of the MS150 that didn't get cancelled!
Today we'll go to our new Sunday school class, church and then enjoy this beautiful day of sunshine!!

Love my job!
As a kindergarten teacher, I've been teaching my kiddos to write stories. These stories have a cover and a back. We have just currently started adding dedications and this is my fave so far : )
For those of you who don't read five year old, it says "dedicated to my teacher that I love." What a rewarding job! : )

Amazing Love
What a wonderful day!! Although we should meditate on Jesus' death, burial and resurrection every day, Easter weekend is such a great weekend to celebrate what God did for us! We did not deserve it, but He sent His son to die for us and save us from our sins!! What amazing love!
Today we went to church with the Sages and then had a very filling lunch at the Brown house with both families! Since our china has not yet made it to Houston, we were able to use it today too! : )
Back tracking: this past week has been wonderful! We went to Monday night RAW with Natalie and Lindsay. The rest of the week I got to spend with some of my other wonderful friends such as HB and then Warren and Danee came to spend the night!! In Longview, I got to see some of my favorite girls from high school, Danielle and Allison, and catch up!
A side note: Have I mentioned lately that my niece is the most beautiful baby ever?! See evidence below:
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
When I think about Jesus' resurrection, I always picture my Precious Moments bible that I had when I was a little girl!Today we went to church with the Sages and then had a very filling lunch at the Brown house with both families! Erin's one!!!
Friday after work, Cody and I drove up to spend the night with my grandparents in Marlin!
We had a great visit and got to catch up with them!
On Saturday morning, we drove up to Waco for Erin's 1st birthday party!! Brad, Jen, mom, dad, Cody and I divided up into teams to get everything done before EG's party! Then we picked up Bush's Chicken for lunch! YUM!
Brad and Jen had EG's party at Cameron park and it was an absolutely perfect day (other than the wind!) She is such a happy baby and really seemed to enjoy her day!
After the party, we went to SPICE! I asbolutely love that place! Unfortunately I didn't find anything I couldn't live without : ) Afterwards, Cody and I drove through Baylor's campus then headed to College Station.
In College Station we headed out to Lake Bryan to meet Warren, Danee, Meredith and Bridget at the Hook for dinner!! We had a great time catching up! Chloe even got to come because we sat outside on the porch..I'm not too sure she liked it though.
We got home pretty late last night and were absolutely exhausted from our long day! We did however make it to our new Sunday School class today, Blueprints (we graduated from our Newlywed class last week), before it ever started! We weren't even late! : ) Onto Sunday afternoon chores!!
